Health Care in the Post-Reform Era – What it Means for You

Ceci Connolly is a senior adviser in the McKinsey Center for Health Reform, an independent economic research group focused on high-quality, affordable healthcare.

Prior to joining McKinsey & Co., Ceci was a nationally recognized journalist, author and television commentator. As the health policy reporter at the Washington Post, she chronicled enactment of President Obama’s Affordable Care Act and went on to be the lead author of “Landmark: The Inside Story of America’s New Health-Care Law and What It Means for Us All.” Her articles were published in hundreds of newspapers worldwide and read by 13 million Internet viewers each month.

Ceci appears regularly on major news programs such as “Fox News Sunday,” “PBS News Hour,” “The Early Show” on CBS and NPR’s “To the Point.” She has spoken at high-profile events including the Arab Global Forum, the Milken Institute Global Conference and the Cerner Health Conference 2010.

In 2001, she was awarded a fellowship at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.

In addition to her work in the United States, Ceci lived in Mexico City for two years and has extensive experience with health systems in Latin America and Europe. She is a judge in the International Health Promotion Awards Program and the National Institute for Health Care Management journalism contest.
